When monitoring reads a new supply price on Amazon or AliExpress, the product’s cost moves with it, so margin reflects what the item costs today rather than what it cost the day you added it. A reading of zero is never written, and a reading in a different currency is never written over a cost in another — a bad read must not be able to invent a margin.
Four plans — Solo, Growth, Scale and Business — separated only by how many stores and products you need. Every feature is in every plan; there is nothing held back for a higher tier. eBay will not tell us what you paid your supplier, so for a product with no cost recorded there is no honest profit figure. ArbiKey now shows a dash instead of a number on every surface — reports, averages, ROI, best-performer rankings and the heat map — and leaves those products out of the totals rather than counting a 100% margin. Previously an item with no cost could rank as your most profitable product.
Clicking a notification now takes you to the thing it is about. A notification you have read comes back if the situation grows — three products out of stock stays quiet, forty does not — instead of going permanently silent after the first time. An eBay connection whose token has quietly stopped refreshing now shows up in Account Health rather than continuing to read as connected.
Connecting eBay used to show a confirmation and then wait for a scheduled job, so orders appeared up to half an hour later — usually after you had closed the tab. The sync now starts the moment the connection completes, with progress on screen, and ends on a single next step chosen from what it actually found: import your listings, attach costs, or go straight to your orders.
Some eBay accounts rejected every listing with “postal code is not valid” because we sent a country but no postal code. The code is now read from your eBay registration address, and Settings carries an override for sellers whose shipping address differs from the one eBay has on file. A malformed code is never sent — eBay falls back to your account address, which works, whereas a rejected code means no listing at all.
If you already sell on eBay, your catalogue comes in without retyping it: titles, prices, quantities, SKUs, images and listing links, in pages of 200. It is read-only — nothing on eBay changes. An Amazon ASIN sitting in your SKU field is picked up automatically, and a bulk cost screen opens straight afterwards, because a catalogue without costs cannot show profit.
Orders that arrived from eBay with no matching product in ArbiKey can now create those products in one action, matched on the ASIN in the SKU, then the listing number, then a normalised title. Cost is deliberately left empty rather than guessed, and those products show no margin until you fill it in.
Every setting that decides a profit figure — seller region, listing and payout currency, category fees, tax and ad rates, margin thresholds — is now held per store rather than per account. A UK store and a US store no longer share one fee table. Existing settings carry over untouched, and the active store is remembered per device, so switching stores in one browser no longer moves the other.
Four reasons listings were being rejected, all closed. Text pulled from the source is stripped of links, contact details and another retailer’s name, which eBay reads as directing buyers off the platform. Image size is now measured from the file itself instead of trusted from the URL — Amazon’s suffix is an upper bound, not a promise — so an image below eBay’s minimum never gets sent. eBay’s own transient error is retried; nothing else is, because retrying a listing that actually succeeded creates a duplicate.
Title, price, quantity, SKU and business policies on a listing that is already running can be changed without opening eBay. Your shipping, payment and return policies are pulled from your account and chosen per product. Quantity never goes below one, because writing zero to a listing can close it — pausing is a separate thing. Photos, description and category are deliberately out of scope: changing them can reset a listing’s search standing.
Ordering from a supplier by hand mostly meant copying an address out of seven separate fields. One screen now holds the order number, item, quantity, variant, the full delivery address field by field or all at once, a link to the supplier, and a single action that records what you paid and marks the order placed. ArbiKey does not take your card, hold a balance or move money — you pay the supplier yourself.
A new page that collects the things that quietly cost money: listings whose supply cost has passed their selling price, orders running late, parcels shipped without a tracking number, orders with no cost attached, and supply data too old for the automation to act on. Every finding carries the action that fixes it.
When your supplier runs out, ArbiKey sets the eBay listing quantity to 0 and restores it when stock returns. It never ends the listing. Confirmation counts, data-age limits, cooldowns and a certain-loss guard are all yours to set, and practice mode records every decision without touching eBay.
Order and tracking sync now runs server-side every 30 minutes instead of only while the app is open. New orders, buyer details and fulfillment status arrive with your computer switched off.
An external-style penetration review of our own system, then the fixes: rate limiting on public endpoints, least-privilege database grants, removal of two retired functions that still held service credentials, and server-side enforcement of the store limit. A stored cross-site scripting hole in the order screen was found and closed.
Listing images now go to eBay at full resolution with the sharpest one as the cover — previously the first image could arrive small. Titles are trimmed to eBay's 80-character limit on a word boundary, and a pre-flight check catches problems before the listing is spent.
Each store now holds its own eBay connection, so a second eBay account can be connected from the same browser without signing out of the first.
Tracking numbers and carriers push to eBay automatically, and delivery status comes back in. Delivered orders convert into your sales history with a final profit figure in one action.
